CEO

Kris Puthucode brings over 30 years of experience in Aerospace, Defense (DoD), Federal Government, and Medical Devices. He founded Software Quality Center (SQC) in 2001 and continues to lead the company today.

He specializes in consulting, training and independent benchmarking, appraisals, and certifications aligned with globally recognized quality frameworks, including CMMI, FDA, FAA, BD-CMM, and NIST 800-171/CMMC. At SQC, Kris works with the U.S. DoD, prime contractors, select U.S. allied nations’ international Aerospace and Defense organizations and, key suppliers, and select multinational companies. SQC serves over 60 B2B clients worldwide.

Kris is a Certified CMMI High Maturity Lead Appraiser (CHMLA) with more than two decades of formal appraisal experience. He is also an accredited Lead CMMC Assessor for the U.S. DoD, a certified trainer for CMMI and PMI courses, and a BD-CMM Appraiser and Trainer. His focus areas include high maturity practices, quantitative analysis, predictive modeling, data analytics, and business development capability building.

Under his leadership, SQC has grown from two people to over 15 consultants and staff, with revenue growth of more than 300% and a sustained CAGR exceeding 22%.

Sahana Kris

Director

Sahana comes with 25 years of experience in Electronics Engineering and IT Services, Sahana has played a pivotal role in shaping SQC’s growth and success.

Her expertise spans customer acquisition, consulting oversight, finance and general operations, ensuring delivery excellence for SQC’s diverse B2B client base across the U.S. and India. Since co-founding SQC in 2000, she has helped the company grow to serve over 85 clients worldwide, providing consulting, training, and independent appraisals aligned with leading frameworks such as CMMI, BD-CMM, and PMI best practices.

Sahana has participated in multiple formal CMMI appraisals, including high maturity assessments, and holds certifications as a SAFe® 5 Agilist and CMMI Associate (ISACA). She has also completed advanced training in taxation and finance management, strengthening her role in leading SQC’s finance, A/P, A/R, and day-to-day operations.

Prior to SQC, Sahana gained valuable experience in electronics manufacturing and IT services, working with organizations such as Spicer India Pvt. Ltd. (Dana Corporation JV) and Dhruva Systems. Her early career involved engineering, quality control, and sales roles, building a strong foundation for her leadership in quality and process improvement today. Sahana is a Certified CMMI Lead Appraiser, for Development and Services domains.

Paul McMahon

Sr. Consulting Partner

Paul E. McMahon helps large and small organizations as they improve their development and management processes and move toward increased agility and process maturity. Paul provides project management, strategic thinking, and software development coaching services utilizing recognized current industry best practices (Agile Project Management, PMBOK, CMMI-Dev, CMMI-DEV, ITIL, and Lean Six Sigma).

For over twenty five  years, Paul has supported clients in attaining advanced certifications and coached project managers navigating today’s complex, multi-contractor development environments. His work spans large defense and technology corporations as well as smaller organizations seeking to build disciplined project management and governance practices.

Paul is a Certified Scrum Master and a Certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, blending agility with process rigor to deliver sustainable improvements. Earlier in his career, he spent twenty-four years with Link Simulation and Lockheed Martin as a software developer, project manager, and mentor. He has taught Software Engineering at Binghamton University, led workshops on process and project management, and published more than forty professional articles.

He is the author of Integrating CMMI and Agile Development: Case Studies and Proven Techniques for Faster Performance Improvement (2010) and Virtual Project Management: Software Solutions for Today and the Future (CRC Press, 2000). Paul is also a frequent conference speaker, with past clients including Raytheon, L3 Communications, BAE, Northrop-Grumman, and the U.S. Department of the Navy.

Paul holds degrees in mathematics from the University of Scranton (BA, Magna Cum Laude) and Binghamton University (MA) and serves on the leadership team of the international SEMAT initiative..

Vinay Katari

Vinay Katari is a seasoned IT leader with over 18 years of experience spanning federal and commercial sectors. He specializes in Agile delivery, DevOps, and technical pre-sales. In his recent role as Senior Engagement Manager at GitLab, Vinay collaborated with enterprise clients to scope technical requirements, develop tailored Statements of Work, and facilitate product adoption.

His expertise encompasses SDLC, enterprise architecture, and business development. As a Certified Scrum Master and SAFe® Program Consultant, Vinay is recognized for building trusted client relationships and delivering impactful solutions that align technology with business objectives.

Saravanan T.S

Saravanan T.S. is a seasoned Senior Consultant and Trainer at Software Quality Center (SQC), bringing over 25 years of experience in service and project delivery across India, Europe, and the Middle East. He has deep expertise in Management System Consulting, auditing, and training for IT, IT, ITeS, e-commerce, and manufacturing sectors.

At SQC, Saravanan delivers measurable business value through a holistic approach that integrates industry-leading frameworks and best practices. He is recognized as a change catalyst who drives organizations towards delivery excellence through lean and agile transformation initiatives, with a strong focus on PMO, Quality Assurance, Risk, and Governance.

An accomplished trainer, Saravanan has conducted over 4,000 hours of training for more than 500 professionals, building internal capabilities to sustain long-term performance. His client portfolio includes industry leaders such as CRIF, Honeywell, Emirates IT, Flipkart, Marlabs, and Narayana Health, among others.

Joseyln Capistrano

Joselyn T. Capistrano is a quality and service process improvement expert with more than twenty years of work experience with multinational companies such as IBM, Citibank, HP, Accenture, and Fujitsu.

A renowned adviser in project management, software engineering, and software development, Capistrano is, so far, the only Filipina with a Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) Lead Appraiser license in the Philippines.

Capistrano’s entrepreneurial journey dates way back in 2001 when she founded SQME Professionals, Inc., a software engineering and quality management company that focuses on providing business enhancement services that are guided by the principles and methodologies of CMMI, International Organization for Standardization (ISO), and Six Sigma.

Having developed a strong relationship with clients from different industries, the firm, under her leadership, proved to be one of the most successful providers of business enhancement services in the Philippines — expanding its operations in Hong Kong, while growing its services in other business sectors.

Lakshmi Menon

Lakshmi Devi Menon is a seasoned Senior Consultant and Trainer at Software Quality Center (SQC), specializing in Process and Quality Improvement Services.

With over 22 years of experience in the Information Technology industry, she brings deep expertise in Software and Systems Quality Management, project management, and CMMI frameworks.

Lakshmi is a Certified CMMI Practitioner (V3.0) and a Certified SAFe® Agilist. Throughout her career, she has held pivotal roles as SQA, Auditor, Senior Auditor, Quality Trainer, Process and SEPG Lead, and Appraisal Team Member (ATM), contributing significantly to multiple organizations’ successful CMM and CMMI Level 5 appraisals. She has led the definition and implementation of Quality Management Systems, driven process improvements, and conducted extensive training to build internal capabilities.

Her broad experience spans software development across DOS, UNIX, and Windows platforms, applying Waterfall, V-Model, and Agile methodologies to projects focused on software modification, renovation, testing, and re-engineering. At SQC, Lakshmi has successfully delivered consulting, training, and mentoring services to more than 25 client organizations, covering all aspects of CMMI implementation, process design, and quality assurance.
