The U.S. Department Of War’s Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification program has moved from preparation to implementation. According to the Department of War, CMMC Phase 1 implementation began on November 10, 2025, and will continue through November 9, 2026, with the initial focus primarily on CMMC Level 1 and Level 2 self-assessments.
